Case Inserts

You can include a variety inserts for most any case configuration. Here is a brief description of the standard options we offer:

	1. Foam Liner: This is a 1”- 2” thick lining that covers the interior surfaces of the case. It consists of one formed liner for the lid and one for the base of the case. The material is polyurethane open cell 1.7 – 2.0 lb density foam. This is the most common type of foam used in cases today and generally considered`soft’ foam. The liner is usually removable and, with the liner installed, it leaves an open space within the case for the items you need to transport and protect. The liner provides a cushioned interior surface. In addition to the liner, the kit usually includes several layers of foam pads that fit within the liner for you to use as additional padding. Additional foam pads may be purchased on the website.
2. Foam Insert: This is typically a full insert made of either `pick ‘n pluck’ or solid polyurethane foam layers usually 1.0 – 2.0” thick, depending on case model. `Pick ‘n Pluck’ layers consist of perforated cubes that can be `plucked’ out of the foam to create the opening cavity that works best for your application. Solid foam layers can be easily cut to create the required space. The top lid of the case is filled with solid foam with a `convoluted facing’ (sometimes referred to as `egg-crate’).
3. Custom Foam Insert: We can provide a custom configured interior to suit virtually any requirement using a wide variety of materials or combination of materials. Custom inserts can be fabricated and assembled (by hand); can be precision cut by high-pressure water jets. Die-cut foam interiors provide a lower cost effective solution for higher quantity requirements. 	4.Divider Insert: These inserts include cushioned, moveable dividers that allow you to create individual compartments of varying sizes within the bottom of the case. This is very popular when transporting an assortment of smaller objects that need cushioning but are not shock sensitive. This option is available on a select number of cases.
